Making Spring Soaps

March 17, 2012

My soaping pot has been getting used frequently as I prepare for the spring and summer season.

Using scales ensures accurate measuring of ingredients. And what is the green liquid in this picture, you may ask?

It's fresh goat's milk, colored with spirulina powder, that will add a creamy skin-conditioning quality to the soap. I am currently in the process of switching over all my milk-based soaps to local goat's milk (story coming soon).

Above you see Clean Clover handmade soap poured into the mold.

The finished bar!
